URGENT UPDATE! 24-May 6am CST

The CT scan came back normal. PRAISE GOD! Kaden was kept overnight and they will re-evaluate his condition this morning. Continue to pray that the doctors will not overlook any injury that needs attention and that Kaden will recover quickly from his soreness.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!! 6pm CST

At 3:30pm CST, one of our team mate's sons (Kaden - 15 years old) was riding his bicycle down a slope and fell into a ditch that he did not see. He tumbled face first and landed on his head. Bystanders have said that he was bleeding from his mouth and his eyes were doing "wierd things" when they got to him. He doesn't seem to have any obviously broken bones, but he undoubtedly has a concussion. When I got to him he was going through bouts of anger and trying to get away from all of the hands holding him down so that he didn't move. He clearly did not know what was happening.

He was taken to the local hospital at 4pm CST. They have done x-rays and will do a CT scan soon. We do not have any conclusive results yet. PLEASE pray for God's healing hand on Kaden, for peace and comfort for his parents and sister, and a quick physical and mental recovery.

Deptford Teens

We have mentioned before that we are working with a colleague in the city who is a part of a new faith community amongst Chinese from North Vietnam. This Sunday is our next meeting with their teenagers. These teenagers have little or no exposure to faith in Christ but are coming because their parents are interested and bring them along. We will begin with the story of Adam and Eve this week. Please pray that God will reveal Himself to these teenagers in a way that no man ever could.

Cardiff, Wales

We will travel to Cardiff, Wales Sunday evening for a time of discussion with Mike Frost, author of "The Shaping of Things to Come" and "Exiles." We are staying over an extra day to enjoy Cardiff a bit. Please pray for safe travel, a productive day on Monday, and rejuvination on Tuesday.

Because we will be out of town on Monday, our next prayer updates will not be posted until Wednesday, 23 April.

Summer Interns...

We are still praying for God's provision for 5 teenagers from Texas to intern with us this summer. We have had a small amount of positive response for the necessary support, but still have quite a ways to go. PLEASE PLEAD WITH GOD TO MAKE THIS A REALITY! Term Break 2

Thank you for your prayers last week that we would have an opportunity to meet up with students from Twyford HS. Chris met 2 students for coffee on Friday and had some brilliant conversation about living a complete life in Christ. Chris will meet up with these students (and several more who are back from holiday) on Thursday at 1p (7a CST).

Chris will also hang out with two other students this week that he is beginning to mentor. Thank you for your continued prayers. God is revealing His ways to us daily and developing new relationships to bring glory to His name.

Chris is hoping to meet with a youthworker near one of the locations that we are observing within the next two weeks. Pray that God opens our eyes and hearts to where he is beginning to work.

Prayer: Term Break

For the next two weeks students will be out of class for term break. This gives us a unique opportunity to spend more quality time with the teenagers that we are building relationships with. Please pray that God directs our plans to spend time with teenagers in London.

We are planning to meet up with students from Twyford High School once this week and once next week to talk about Christ in their life and the implications on everything that they do. Chris will also have coffee on Saturday at 1p (7a CST) with a student that he is beginning to mentor, and another student later next week. Thank you for your continued prayers. God is revealing His ways to us daily and developing new relationships to bring glory to His name.
